The linked tune is a "schottis" from Älvdalen, Sweden. It´s recorded in Sweden in 1955. Rumours are that the very same tune is played as a reel in Canada, Prince Edward Island to be exact. Or is it a reel from Scotland finding its way to Sweden? I believe I´ve heard it somewhere in northern New England many years ago. Anyone out there who can help me out?
