In 1972, I dated the David Simon (aka Bruno Wolf)who sang Ukelele lady and was an original member of the the Jim Kweskin's jug band.

I have just gone through Norman Greenbaum's website looking at old pictures and although there is a resemblance I do not think Norman Greenbaum and David Simon are the same person.

For one thing, David was selling jewelry, tacos, kosher hot dogs and chinese rolls in NYC in 1971-73. He used to sing Ukelele Lady at some local poetry by candlelight gigs and was quite the character. He never mentioned having written the hit nor was he into dairy farming as was Norman Greenbaum.

So although they look a little bit similar, and were around at the same time in Boston and at least one article mentions that NOrman Greeanbaum was a David Simon alias. I do not think they could possibly be the same person
