Sad News indeed, I new Simon for Many years, initially through our mutual membership of Hartley Morris, and in the last few years via his bookings of my Jazz Band for the most excellent Fete he helped to organise on West Peckham green.
He should also be remembered for the research work on the Mumming traditions of the Darenth Valley he did with the late Charlie Jacobs. and the enormous amount of work he did on the music and lives of the Traveller Community.
My condolences to all his Family and friends.
