I bow to the superior knowledge of previous posters--all I can say is that in near 8o years in the country I have never yet met anyone who has had a blood sucking tic attached to them, consultations will be held with a wheen lifelong ootbye herds who have had extensive pratical knowlege of sheep and tics. I seem to recollect that armchair critics have in the past denied that foxes kill lambs, just a thought.

Now take clegs,they certainly are expert blood suckers although I must say that its many's the long day since I personally played host to one.
