most dyed in the wool folkies go to the same events year on year watching the same acts performing the same songs i dont think they'll be persuaded to go anywhere else so the whole argument is pointless unneccesary and just an example of bigoted attitudes..... btw I can't imagine the furore if Seikou Keita had performed ( he was nominated ) at the Folk awards.
