Hi folks - I was the one who originally asked the question about the origin of the tune. I've listened to Mairi Bhan Og - and that one only reminds me of Greensleeves! Probably these old ears - but yes, there is a hint of Kilkelly in there. Any other ideas as to its origins? Thanks for the help.
