I was one half of support for Mike Whellans many years ago. He was doing a guitar and blues harp instrumental when he broke a string, kept on playing the harp while he changed and tuned the string. Very impressive: it was a rugby club which might have tended to be a bit rowdy, but as they realised what he was doing it focused their attention. This was so effective I half-suspected the broken string was deliberate.
