Hi guys.

As a veteran lurker who's been around since the late 90s but only posted infrequently, I felt like saying I use this thread like I used to use the whole Mudcat. Here I find people interacting in kindness and generosity. I find evidence that we have more in common than we think. I was always more of a reader than participator but such is my nature. The way I use the Mudcat now, I start on "Messages since last visit" and go down the names list, finding the threads that a small handful of names have posted on (looking at you 'Spaw). Names from the "old days". More and more, I pretty much just end up on this thread. Even though most probably don't recognize my moniker, I'm thankful that I still belong to this family, however noisome and contentious some of the more distant cousins have become.
