2 small towns in Central Iowa host play alongs the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. Madrid, 30 miles north of Des Moines (take the HWY 141 exit north to Granger, then take HWY 17 north to Madrid), hosts the jamboree on the 1st Friday of the month. Colo, 35 ,miles north of Des Moines on HWY 65 hosts the event the 3rd Friday of the month. Both are held in the community rooms for each town and last from 7-10pm. Both events are free, however, donations are accepted. Both events provide a potluck luncheon during the break.

Feel free to stop in to listen, play along or sing. The musicians vary from professional to amatuer. Most of the music is old time, folk or classic country.
