A fantastic weekend of celebration for the Black Diamond's 50th. From Pete Coe's gig on Friday through the big event on Saturday, featuring Brian Peters, Major Mustard, Mary Humphreys & Anahata, John Conolly, and the Teacups to an almighty singers' session on Sunday, it was all superb stuff and a testament to the enduring quality of this fine club. As a relative newcomer, I felt privileged to see and hear so many names from throughout the club's history popping up to contribute a song or two. The club is clearly held in great affection by many people, and rightly so. A big thanks to Phil, Paul and the whole committee for organising such a splendid event. Oh, and the cake was great too! (as was all the food over the weekend)
