Tug the Cox Lyr Req: Heaven's a Bar (Tim Laycock) (8) RE: Lyr Req: Heaven's a Bar (Tim Laycock) 02 Jun 14

It was originally a part of a folk opera which never saw the light of day in its entirety. It was based around the story of a voyage as seen through the eyes of the ship's rats. The song occurs at the end, when the ship is sinking. The rats have made their way to the toppermost spa, and are pondering the nature of heaven whilst facing their last moments. Tim Laycock commented that it seemed like a good idea at the time!
