I write from the west of Ireland , where, as far as everybody here is concerned, the sun has been fully eclipsed since Sept 2nd, as we have just come through 109 days of continuous rain. But yesterday, Christmas Day was crisp, cold and sunny. happy new Year to one and all. T.B.R.
