I thought I had seen a thread* already on Mudcat about the project to make a feature documentary about Shirley Collins, entitled *The Ballad of Shirley Collins, based mainly on the collecting experiences detailed in her excellent book America Over the Water. The makers, Burning Bridges and Fifth Column Films, are looking to fund the project through an appeal on Kickstarter; they hope to raise £25,000 by 22 July 2014, and have so far received pledges for £10,733. It would be wonderful to realise this project, so it would be great if more people respond to the appeal.
