Fall Fling Charlie BS: New Philly Folk Event (2) New Philly Folk Event 27 Dec 00

The Philadelphia Folksong Society Presents

THE FIRST ANNUAL CABIN FEVER FEST

· Suffering from folk withdrawal? · Haven't tuned your guitar or your vocal chords since Fall Fling? · Depressed by Groundhog Day 'cause there's still four months 'til Spring Thing? · Never been to the Spring Thing or the Fall Fling?

Then you owe it to yourself to make history at the first ever Cabin Fever Fest!

Have a daylong piece of the Fling/Thing Experience in Mid-Winter, with workshops, crafts, kid's stuff, a kid's concert and a super Open Stage! If that's not enough, the Cabin Fever Fest marks the re-appearance of Fabulous, fantastic Food by Richard & Devon's Moonlight Catering!

Saturday, January 20, 2001 will mark the date at the Commodore Barry Club in Mt. Airy, right by the Carpenter Station on SEPTA's regional rail line.

We're planning morning workshops followed by lunch. Afternoon workshops followed by dinner, a kids' open stage and a great open stage/concert followed by a midnight jam. There will be a cash bar. All this for only $50 for Folksong Society members ($60 for non-members). Best of all, by registering and paying before December 31st you can save $10. Kids under 8 are free and 16 and under only $30. See the flier in this issue of Tune Up.

There are a limited number of part scholarships available. We're looking for folks who are able to provide lodging for those who must travel a distance. Call Charlie Miller at 215-884-2488 or e-mail fauxqui@home.com for details.
