I certainly don't hold any sort of brief for SBC but I think you'll find North Yorks County Council are equally involved as they are the Highways Authority for Whitby.

The original plan involved several distinct areas and,if you couldn't find a bit of free road in the area where your house was then you weren't allowed to park in another area.

I never did find out where you were supposed to go.

We were promised a Resident's Parking Scheme,just like they have in Scarborough,where,I was informed by a SBC official "It works
really well".Ho! Ho!

We hatched a plan in the Black Horse last week to charter a Ro/Ro ferry and moor up in the Harbour to provide town centre parking for Folk Week,but I dont think anything came of it!!!!

The Car Park across from the Endeavour is called Church Street.
