Two questions, Greg. What did we evolve eating? When was agriculture invented? The Pope and the entire Catholic priesthood would respond to an argument that God does not exist with "It's a crock..." Turkeys do NOT vote for Xmas. The balanced diet is a modern promotion. There's no substance, no proof that it is better, or even "good", for us, as far as I am aware.

Incidentally, I did not say what I believe, as regards diet. I just said Taubes will give you food for thought. What I do believe, and have for a very long time, is that calories, as a basis for diet, really are a crock...
