In the years when I was involved with the festival I made a point of getting round as many of the likely or not venues as I could over the year.

Just listening and talking to the locals was useful and it was a good way of finding out where the best pint might be found as well as indulging one of my hobbies - having a pint.

I only ever visited the Black Horse once "out of season" as it were and found the prices extremely expensive. I can only assume that the locals were paying the same price as myself.

I know there are some of the festival venues that have a two tier price list and find that abhorent but don't know what can be done about it.
