I have a set of Swayne G student pipes and a Fagerstrom French/NSP, which is not one of the normal combinations, Anders who makes these, set this up for me at no extra cost. The French setting is excellent for quiet practice and getting a tune under the fingers. It has really increased the time I spend practicing without annoying the family/fellow travellers and campers. I do get some odd looks though! I find them very responsive and easy to use. Changing modes can be a bit fiddly but to be honest I do not do that much and leave them in French G for most of the time.
