My dear departed musical friend, Rick Lee. We met at the NJ Folklore Society over 33 years ago. We came to know and appreciate each other through the many tunes we played together, year after year. How you challenged me over all these 33 years! How you got me to play tunes I never thought I could, How you hosted me at New England Folk Festival times, putting me up in your house, with so many others where we would all join playing with each other until after 3 am. How you played such beautiful music on piano and banjo from all around the world. How well you interpreted songs. You, my dear friend, were and always will be a class act! I, and so many others will sorely miss you. Real tears and a very heavy heart. Drew Smith
