The first tunes workshop of the season is at the Gun from 8pm on Wednesday the 24th September. We'll be looking at three tunes, one of which we'll learn by ear. On the 28th September from 8pm will be snug in the Bell & Jorrocks, Frittenden, for the season's first of our last Sunday of the month sessions. Our visiting guest that night is Roger Resch, a man possessed of a fine voice, an effective way with an old song and a big repertoire that includes more choruses than most of us put together. Finally, I'd like to remind you all about the English ceilidh with the local ceilidh band I play with, Florida, at the Revelation St Mary's arts centre in Ashford - http://www.revelationstmarys.com/ - on Saturday 20th September, starting at 7.45pm. The caller's to be our old friend Keith Leech from Hastings and we're looking forward to a typical brass and guitars-driven stonking Florida ceilidh.
