The Kitchen Aid died after 30 years of service. I went to our local appliance repair shop (Yes we have one in Colorado Springs, www.nelsonappliance.com)and bought a part for $35 dollars. It should be good for another 30 years. A new Kitchen Aid would cost over $300.
