In 1967, the Supreme Court ruled that anti-miscegenation laws were unconstitutional. Old laws no longer applicable may remain on the books, since their removal must be voted on. Legislators don't waste their time doing this, since the laws cannot be invoked or acted upon if they have been rendered void by Court actions.
