My mum and I text each other like mad every Thursday night during Question Time and Andrew Neill's politics programme following. She's 86 and is on her third Nokia 3330, the only phone she can use. Every couple of years I have to track down another one on eBay for her. We manage to sort out the big issues facing the world, alternating with making politically extremely incorrect remarks about the participants. Last night there was a very attractive young woman on QT and my mum, texting, told me off severely for lasciviating. As it turned out the woman in question had nothing attractive to say whatsoever!
