GUEST,Mr Red Tech: How can I make my tenor banjo louder? (18) RE: Tech: How can I make my tenor banjo louder? 25 Nov 14

If you play in sessions, check the faces of the other sessionista. As I always tell proto-Bodhranists
"because you know when you are going to hit (strike) your brain is ready for it. As a result you tune it out to a degree. This is so that you can gauge what everyone is playing, particularly the one playing the right tune, and in sync".
In other words, you are louder than you perceive yourself. Ditto melodeon, sax, etc.

Trust me I am a drummer...................
