Scroggling around in the kitchen - it means dragging out things from under things until you find the edges of the room, and there was the large measuring jug which I have not seen for ages - underneath the ironing board. I can't imagine what on earth - oh - I was using it for warm water when pressing one of my kilts - ages ago. I remember now I've found it by accident. Ah well - I found lots of other bits and pieces which can now be sorted back into their proper places or disposed of. I never have the right sized lid for pans. Over the years pans must have been altered to different diameters, as I seem to have so many, but never the one I need. If I had enough space to put the pans one by one, rather than stacking them, then perhaps I could match them up, eventually, by a process of elimination. There is something to be said for colourful cookware as an aid for finding lids.
