One of my tuners (yes, I have more than one) cost 99p, in a box, with battery, and all the way from China - 2 years old and still going strong! @ripov - my g/f, self taught and playing fiddle and cello purely by ear, doesn't even notice if i'm slightly out, just says she doesn't need to re tune since she's no frets, just alters her finger position.
