The problem for Folk clubs which have only monthly or occasional guests yet have a weekly meeting is that the "floor singers" often will not support the guest booked prefering to do their own thing ~ this gives rise to two sets (at least) of audience if you are lucky and payers and players split What is needed ideally is people who are happy and keen to be associated with their local folk club ~ this unfortunately is not always the case!
