Currently have shop recommendation ESET, was 7 now upgraded to 8, replacing free Panda. ESET no bother but I've no way of knowing how well it works so pleased to see it well reviewed in Andrez post.
Had free Avira a long time but had to ditch when it refused to update any more. Paid for Avira ground the m/c to all but a halt. Free Avasti also seemed to bog the laptop down. Free AVG no bother but for ever advertising paid versions.
