About 10 years ago, I worked for a cold caller trying to get people interested in kitchens. There was no choice in who I got to call as it was an autodialler. I ended up being told to leave by my GP after three bouts of severe laryngitis in six months - appalling conditions, low pay, and if you didn't hit your targets, you lost a shift. Doesn't stop me getting annoyed though! I've surprised a few of the Microsoft ones though. I either tell them that my husband is an IT specialist, or that I don't have a computer. The latter is usually more successful.
