Another great quiz, Mr. P. I flat outdid not now a couple of answers, namely the French priest/astronomer, and the characters played by Cleese, et al. Several I'm pretty sure I got several correct, of which I don't know the connection to Nimoy/Star Trek, which I take to be the theme. Allow me to expound on Q5 answer "The Cisco Kid" (which I don't know the connection, unless Nimoy appeared in one or more episodes). First, the Cisco Kid of O. Henry was not a Mexican...he was a gringo, a caucasian bad man. When the first Cisco movie, "In Old Arizona," was produced, it leaned heavily on the original shot story...except that the Kid had an ethnic change, and a caucasian actor, won the academy award for his portrayal of a Mexicanized Kid. And such the Cisco Kid has been ever since. All subsequent Ciscos were portrayed by Latinos: Cesar Romero, Gilbert Roland and Jimmy Smits, but not Duncan Renaldo, who despite his name is thought to have been eastern European, possibly of gypsy origin. Jack Mather, the radio Cisco Kid, was also a caucasion. The Renaldo Cisco TV series of the 1950s was filmedin color, even though color TV was not yet (widely)available. Cheers!
