I've been several times, enjoyed singarounds, entered competions, performed in the evening concert and generally enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. There are clog dancing classes, interesting stuff going on in the piping centre, and a lot more. The town seems to be thriving and is certainly populated with warm and welcoming people. One of my most treasured trophies came from there - I won the Border ballad competition and the shield is displayed prominently in my home. It says 'BALLED'.
