So anyway, I'm not sure who all saw this and if you did, I am sorry for spamming Mudcat. I am just very proud of this. A couple months or so ago, an editor of my acquaintance solicited a story from me for this project her press is doing. It's called Unbound Octavo. What it is is a series of 8 interlocking stories, each one done by a different writer. She solicited it based on a comment I made on facebook, which is the last sentence of the story. So I wrote the first draft in a couple hours or so, and then revised, revised, revised and so on. Then, I sent it to her. She said the other editors may not take it, and to try this other press. I did. The other press declined it, but gave their feedback. Three days later, when I was just about to revise again, I got the acceptance notice from Unbound Octavo. She told me that all five editors loved it. That night, it was published.
