"Parade of the Tin Soldiers" is the original name for Jessel's piece, but for some reason, it was subsequently called "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers". It is often confused with another equally familiar melody called "March of the Toys" from Victor Herbert's "Babes in Toyland", which, adding to the confusion, was made into a Laurel and Hardy film and then reissued as "The March of the Wooden Soldiers".
