I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the song was originally full of sexual innuendo, but I learned it from my mother in the mid 1970's in America. To my hey down-down (to my ho down-down) Hey down! (Ho down!) Derry derry down Among the leaves O green-oh I kind of enjoy all versions presented. Thanks for this discussion.
