Alright, so I have lusted in my heart lo these many years for a Martin guitar. In the mean time, I have gotten to be friends with a couple of non-Martins, and finally settled into a life without Martin. I was even going to sell a couple of them, just to keep my confusion to a minimum and make space for something else.

But lovely and adorable wife would not let it go. And she meets me for dinner--gets there before me--and...a shiny new D-28 is sitting in the booth where I should sit! I mean, right there in the restaurant, of course I had to open up the case and strum a little! (Some patrons said to shut up, and others asked me to play more. Go figure.) Of course, it is a grand piece. And now, I *really* have to sell off a couple. I mean, why would I play anything else? But I complain too much, I know.
