Jack was a mainstay of the Montreal folk scene from the late 1950s onward - and a celebrated story-teller. Through the decades Jack made great music as a solo performer and a member of The Mountain City Four with Peter Weldon, Kate and Anna McGarrigle and friends. I enjoyed many of Jack's performances in the late 1960s at the Montreal Folk Workshop.
