Just heard the news that Bristol caller and folk roots promoter died the other day... there's a note on fRoots facebook page. Tony starting calling at an outdoor gig at Langford Somerset c 1978... I was in the band with some of the Blakeney Edwards family of Cheddar. Later he called for many local bands and put on amazing gigs at Yesterdays and elsewhere; a wide range from blues, African (the Bhundu Boys) and 2 Mustaphas 3, Loudon Wainright III. He'll be fondly remembered; he's left his enormous CD collection to Halsway Manor library.
