... I read the previous post and thought "stormy grew the sea"? I don't remember that - but it's decades since I read it. And the word I had in my head was "gurly". Turns out that stuff you read in school 4 decades ago stays with you more than you might imagine: "When the lift grew dark, an the wind blew loud An gurly grew the sea"
