I wish I'd never started... Peter my intention is not that heavy... Grace Toland who performed it was lovely in giving credit and a pleasure to deal with. All I am saying that a couple of words saying that it is a Scots song, often performed in Ireland would have fully set the record straight. I was however, getting at the principle is it the singer/performer or the song that creates its national identity?
