If Western physics and Eastern philosphies are true, energy continues on, and I would think that that would include the energy that constitutes a human life.

My own thoughts on this are that it takes an act of imagination to step outside the way that, so far, we have conceived of ourselves. I'm not at all convinced this is a matter of time, or that it involves an unknown process. I tend to believe in avatars, or the reincarnation, over the years, of a human who speaks directly to other humans specifically about this issue. The history of how this human is then received is not too good, but perhaps that is irrelevant.

I also understand the earth as sentient or as intelligent; when I said she was trying to shake human beings off, I had in mind an image of getting rid of lice or fleas. However, that's probably doing a disservice to the earth's intelligence. On the other hand, she may simply be responding out of common sense and the desire to live.

Once, an astrologer assured me that I was the reincarnation of an aspect of the goddess, Lilith. I had never heard of Lilith up to that time, so imagine my surprise to be told she was Adam's first wife. I think that's interesting and certainly improves on the Adam and Eve story. This astrologer also insisted that, as this aspect, at one time I "was" a planet. That's also interesting, although at the time I thought the guy was a crackpot. However, it ties into the question of "where" human energy goes--does this energy return into a sort of galactic pool, waiting to seed an auspicious planet? The latest news in astronomy is that new planetary systems keep being identified, along with "bodies" that can't be called planets (they're too big and don't behave like planets)--what's going on there?

As far as the level of current denial among those of us who are earthbound, I've wondered if it's a response to the increased stress of a degrading weather system world-wide, the level of poverty, drug-use, violence (war, domestic violence, abuse, gangs), hunger, illness--I think this way because of the families I see on a daily basis who are now in multi-generational patterns of abuse. If they are a microcasm of the world at large, human beings are suffering terribly and, in general, appear unable to break these abusive cycles, either with themselves, their families, their communities, or the environment. Why? And, if there is a community of humans who do not feel this immobilized or traumatized, who are they? Where are they?
