In line with very many countries world wide, Australian unionists will be celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the death, some would say murder, of Joe Hill in Salt Lake City in 1915. I'm sure others on Mudcat will be in the same boat, but already have their concert programme finalised, unlike us here in the small isolated town of Cairns, where the decision to hold an event is only a week old. So, I'm already behind the eightball and am hoping that 'catters can come up some ideas of union songs suitable for a small group of non-singers and especially, strident poems of working life. I do already have quite a swag of both, along with everything that Mr Hill wrote himself, but there must be heaps that I haven't got or even know about. For those that are 'anti-union', please find another post to vent on. Yours in Union gecko
