Jerry has been wearing hearing aids for a year and a half and he loves them. He can now hear both Bev and himself better so our singing has improved. His have four different frequency response curves which he can select depending on conditions and, most of the time, he now hears better than Bev does - especially in noisy restaurants. To answer Joe's question, there are bluetooth devices available for most hearing aids which allow the wearer to adjust the level independently of the system level. These are generally sold by the hearing aid manufacturer as an accessory and cost in the range of $200-$300. They generally require no electrical connection to the system. Here is an example. We've not tried one so we can't say about the quality of the sound. Bev and Jerry
