Barkeeper's Friend will get it-- long hard scrub job-- but remove the finish over time (abrasive plus bleach). CLR now comes in a spray, but is liquid and runs off making clean streaks. Hardi has been using something else while I've been in Ohio. I'll find out what it is. He also reports that new buildup is slowed by squeegeeing the walls dry each time.

It's important to remember that bleach sanitizes and whitens but does not actually remove anything adhered to the finish; a paid helper worked on ours recently, then Hardi did more. I'm hoping to do one last round, then use Armor-All to get a new finish, and then keep up with it using CLR..... I'm sure those vinyl surrounds, in rural PA's water, have a short life and that when we move, landlord will replace ours. The ultimate solution is water-softener/filter the minerals. Me, the darkening is not so important as long as it's disinfected often. In Ohio it's different minerals/colors, and when we're fulltime here (or sooner), we'll add a softener for sure.

OH:

Puttering around getting the floors cleared aND stuff stowed for vacuuming tonite/tmrw AM. I balanced my checkbook. I reclaimed a barrel that had held rock and packed it with items coming back to PA (to go in trailer). The huge dog bed Faulkner needs has been relegated to the back bedroom for a few days; its cover is in the wash. I added a removable cover to a cushion Newbie's been using. I brought in trash/recycling bins, moved some flars and took pix, had breakfast with zinc, played with dogs.... am at about 1000 steps on the day so far.

I'm finding that I can now incorporate the dogs' cycle of in/out/fud/boredom in my daily routine. I'm glad to have some practice time left, here.
