Good news for Sheffield and South Yorkshire folkies, the legendary Archie Fisher is guest at Kiveton Park Folk Club this coming Tuesday 3rd November. Archie has a reputation second to none in the folk world. From the early sixties Archie has carved an enviable reputation as a virtuoso performer, both solo and in collaboration with others of international renown. Working with his parents and sisters Ray and Cilla, The Fisher Family were a major attraction on the folk circuit in the sixties. Later Archie establish his career as a solo artist and also worked with many now famous folk names too numerous to list. During decades working with the BBC, producing and hosting the programme 'Travelling Folk' he continued to be in demand as a performer at clubs and festivals in the UK and abroad. Singing traditional and original material expertly accompanied on guitar, Archie will captivate an audience with his easy style and presentation. Come down to Kiveton this Tuesday to see one of folk's most enduring and respected performers.
