About Variant Jakob Creutzfeld (that is the name I learned in medical school 40+ years ago, I have no idea why the order of the two last names used to name this disease were switched.) Anyway, research shows that V. Jakob Creutzfeld can be caused by prions from infected beef. http://rense.com/general47/spor.htm
