I am only about 20 miles away from this city. San Bernardino is not the best place around. Lots of crime over there on a regular basis.

I have only been to that city a few times - to a animal shelter once several years ago, to a bus station a few times and to a train station a few times - bus and train just stopping there briefly when I was going somewhere else. Animal shelter not too far from the facility where this shooting took place and I was there for a meeting.

My local paper always mentions different crimes happening in Bernardino but of course nothing to this magnitude like what happened today.

This world has turned upside down - so, so sad what happened there today. Just hearing the news coverage as it was happening and knowing and familiar with the street names as they were mentioned on the news.

Sad, sad all these people in San Bernardino gone, all those people in Paris now gone and seemingly no end in sight as these killers are everywhere.

Another area mentioned is Redlands, California where police are continuing their investigation. Redlands is not a bad area or at least most parts of it are nice. (not too far from San Bernardino but not the crime that San Bernardino continually has.)
