Dan, I have used a product called Voltarin gel, but it is not effective. Many years ago I built a mountain dulcimer, but didn't get very far with that. I also had an auto harp. Picks, I use a flat pick that was one of Rick Fieldings, I started on a thumb pick,I also play without a pick. In its day, the model T Ford was a great machine to give us an advantage over time and distance, but even the restored ones now are next to useless except as a relic from the past. I'm sure you get the similarity.
