A registrar for the legal side of things, on the porch of a historic building where we were spending the whole weekend. Readings (non-religious) by my Mum and by a friend. Music played by a scratch band led by Mike O'Connor, playing some of his beautiful Cornish tunes. Then later a hand-fasting ceremony, written by ourselves, performed by two very good friends and followed by a lot of joyful leaping around, a pot-luck barbecue feast and a mellow ceilidh. At the end of the two ceremonies we felt exceedingly married, and have stayed that way.
