Coming belatedly to this thread and enjoying it... Reminds me of a bizarre conversation I had at a conference on computer-based learning way back in the 1980's, somewhere in the North of England. ( I think it was mostly about use of Hypercard or such - shows how long ago it was!). About 2 o'clock in the morning, I found myself discussing "In Siberia's Wastes ..." with a guy who had just completed a Ph.D. on Mangan, who had been a favourite of mine as a schoolboy. I think I was astonished to find that anybody actually knew of Mangan! Regards
