I was very upset to hear this news from my friend Gifford Rolfe this morning. Steve was a smashing bloke with a lovely voice and a great choice of songs. I first met him at the Brewer's Pride session in Ossett and then, when I moved to Beverley he was often there visiting family and attending our sessions in the Sun Inn throughout the year and at the festival in June. I think that the last time I saw him was at the Denby Dale Pie Hall session where he will be much missed. R
